I wish i could give them better than 5 stars!!! They are literally the best in the area period.
MoreDelicious homemade food
Dolores Sweet Shop is one of my favorite places to stop in while in Apalachicola, homemade fresh breakfast like granny would make and sweets that would make you wanna go home and slap granny or at least get Mrs.Dolores to show her how to bake!
MoreEnjoyed the coffee & omelet. Historic eatery.
Great Food !Great Service !Old Home Friendly Atmosphere !
Cool old fashioned place...homemade and delicious food!
Best breakfast in town
Simple good breakfast!!
As we were coming through town, we asked a local where I good place to grab breakfast was. She stated across the parking lot in that little white house. We were greeted by a friendly staff. The menu for breakfast was small, but everything was made to order. And the prices weren't to bad. Average breakfast meal was around $5. And if you have a sweet tooth grab a cinnamon roll!
MoreGreat people, and food!
Awesome place. Great food at an amazingly low price and fast friendly service
Very home like, and great affordable food, love it .
Great little place, homey feel. Food simple but good.
So so
A very pleasant place, unique with a warm atmosphere from the owner, a very nice lady. The food was delicious, and you could enjoy her and another lady cooking in the kitchen, like I said a place that makes you feel at home. Do not miss it.
MoreGreat local breakfast and lunch spot . Dolores has a great simple menu that satisfies. Love this place.
MoreGreat homemade breakfast, and very nice service.
Food was barely cooked! Cold sausage patties, unmelted cheese on omelette. Avoid, not a good way to start the day.
MoreCheap but good menu for the locals
Dolores serves early breakfast and old-fashioned sandwiches for lunch. I love the chicken salad. Also good desserts. If they're not busy Dolores is a great local storyteller, too. Many old pictures on the walls of this small, simple, place. Closed on weekends.
MoreGreat local place for lunch and sweet treat after.
Inside an historical home. Can't believe that this is a licensed restaurant. Didn't get what I ordered but what I got was good, I didn't send it back but chose to eat what I got. It is extremely basic and if you need real clean skip this one. It is in poor repair and in desperate need of an overhaul. Nice ladies run the place though.
MoreFood was delicious
Best deserts in town!
Excellent lunch, as always.
Mrs Dolores and staff are ALWAYS friendly and the food is always good. You can enjoy good food, friendly people and view the history of Apalachicola in the photos along the walls.
MoreNo finer lady in the south, I had eaten in her old shoppe many times. best southern sweets and hospitality in the south. Love you Miss Dolores. Hope to see you soon.
MoreQuaint place if you're wanting a local restaurant.
Hummingbird cake!? Oh. My. Word. So, so yummy!! Great people! Hope I get to see them again some day!
MoreAwesome local food
I would NOT recommend eating there. Old, didnt feel clean, food was LESS than good.
MoreGreat food and Delores and her help are the best!!
Staying in Cape San Blas which has no breakfast places we tried searching in Port St. Joe to no avail. Thank goodness for Appalachicola and Delores' Sweet Shoppe. Great cinnamon rolls with the right amount of icing. Lots of breakfast options, including grits and biscuits if you want them. We opted for breakfast sandwiches on bisuits. Satisfying. Old fashioned "charm." It isn't a place for a crowd.
